A Word from Natasha
He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa,
Recently we received feedback and concern from families regarding our uniform. In particular, the quality and how see through the white shirts are. We have been in touch with NZ Uniforms to discuss this matter. As a result of our feedback NZ Uniforms have undertaken the manufacturing of a new white material. This is a lot thicker and under pressure/friction should not pill. Our shirts are all being remade in the new material. For those that purchased white shirts these will be replaced (you will be given a new shirt). I am very happy that NZ Uniforms recognised that the garment was not up to standard and are working to rectify this. As soon as the new shirts arrive I will work with NZ Uniforms to arrange a quick and easy way for families to receive their garment/s.
As we head into the middle of the term I want students to be considering what other activities they want to participate in their wider school life. This could include joining a sports team, the school production or a school band, are just a few of examples. I want to ensure that our students engage in as many opportunities as they can here at Rototuna High Schools. Their participation in such activities not only helps them grow and develop their interpersonal skills, but also demonstrates a willingness to be involved and contribute - often key skills that businesses, universities and future employers seek in candidates. Our students only have three years at the Senior High School so I encourage them to make the most of every opportunity that school can offer them. If your child feels that we do not offer something that they are interested in, please encourage them to come and see us as we would love to support our students interests if we can.
