Support Staff Vacancies:

Food Technology Technician; In this position you will liaise with the Head of Food Technology and work closely with teachers within and outside of the Department. You will provide technical support to teachers, by assisting with the preparation of ingredients and equipment for practical work. You will also be responsible for placing orders, deliveries, managing kitchen resources, day to day cleaning and maintenance of the Food Technology Spaces as well as maintaining health and safety expectations within the space.

Applicants would benefit from relevant previous experience and familiarity with the handling of food and food equipment. Preference for hours of work are 21.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday, during term time only, although this is negotiable for the right candidate.

Textiles Technology Technician; In this position you will liaise with the Specialist Curriculum Leader of Technology (Textiles) and work closely with teachers within and outside of the Department. You will provide technical support to teachers, by assisting with the preparation of fabric and equipment for practical work. You will also be responsible for deliveries, managing resources, day to day cleaning and tidying of the Textiles Technology Space as well as maintaining health and safety expectations. Applicants would benefit from relevant previous experience and familiarity with fabric, sewing and sewing equipment.

Hours of work are 5 hours per week, during term time only, days and times to be negotiated.

For both positions remuneration will be based on the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, Grade B/C Range of Rates, based on skills and experience. Applications will close on Wednesday 19 February.
